Morocco?s national team lost once again on Sunday in the first leg of the African Cup qualifiers played against Mozambique. Less than a month after their last friendly game played against Guinea in Rabat, the so-called Atlas Lions provided Moroccan fans with a very disappointing performance, as they lost 2-0 to Mozambique.
The Moroccan team looked pale throughout game, managing to create a few occasions that did not create any danger to their adversaries.
With their first goal scored at the 74th minute, Mozambique players looked more emboldened and started to pose more problems to the Moroccan team.
In spite of their disastrous performance, the Moroccans could have brought home a precious draw if Mounir Hamdaoui was concentrated enough and knew how to translate the opportunity afforded to him by Adel Taarabt at 89th minute.
The coup de grace came at the 90th minute when Mozambique scored its second goal after a glaring blunder by the goal El Kinani.
