totally agree with you. The irony here is that it is just the group that makes alittle bit more than the average Joe that can stimulate the economy. They are more likely than the poor to hire cleaning services nyc and purchase goods that are made in this country(remodels, lawn services, auto care and upgrades etc.). When you squeeze them to throw money at the bottom all you get is a firesale of chinese goods at Walmart and possibly debt reduction. It is only people with extra money that can afford the value added services in this country.
