Start the week by giving your employment prospects a boost with Proven Job Search, which brings lots of job resources to your Android device and even helps with the application process. We've also got DJ space, a music mixing app that uses celestial bodies to represent samples and tracks, and House of the Dead Overkill: LR, a first-person zombie shooter with plenty of gore and a B-movie vibe.

Instead of celebrating Earth Day once a year, adopt an eco-friendly consciousness. Zinio ?s digital newsstand saves 104 thousand trees per month, and here?s how you can get involved.

What?s it about? Use your smartphone or tablet to search for a job, no matter where you are with the help of Proven Job Search.

What?s cool? Proven Job Search aggregates a number of job search resources and makes them available to you on your Android device. You can use it to quickly search through listings on Craigslist, SimplyHired and Beyond, and you can also store and manage your resume so you can quickly fire it off when you find a job that meets your requirements. You can also share jobs you find with others through SMS and email, create multiple versions of your resume and cover letter, and sync your account with Proven.com for greater control over your search.

Who?s it for? If you're looking for a job and could use some help making it a bit easier, try Proven.

What?s it like? Check out Job Search Engine for an alternative way to search for potential employment, and Resume Builder Pro to help make sure you make a good impression.

What?s it about? DJ space is a bit of a weird take on your common music mixing app ? it actually enables the creation of solar systems and places planets in orbits to create sounds.

What?s cool? There are a few apps in the Google Play store that help musicians make and mix music, but with DJ space, presentation is everything. Instead of adding and adjusting samples on a grid or a mixing board, the game presents you with a view of space filled with stars. Samples are represented by planets, and you can place those planets around stars to create mixes. Adding more planets adds to a section of the track, and adding more solar systems adds to the overall track to create a galaxy that represents the whole song. When you're done, you can export what you've made as a .wav file.

Who?s it for? Fans of making their own electronic music, with an astronomical theme, should check out DJ space.

What?s it like? DJ Control and Mixify are two more mixing apps that are worth your attention.

What?s it about? Blast hordes of zombies in House of the Dead Overkill: LR, a mobile version of the Sega classic series that has graced many arcades.

What?s cool? House of the Dead was originally born as an arcade game in 1997. In the game, players use light guns, those gun controllers you can actually aim at the screen, to take down zombies. The mobile version takes the same approach ? you play in a first-person view with zombies staggering toward you. House of the Dead embraces a sort of B-movie style with plenty of goofy zombies (including zombie strippers, yikes), and has three different play modes of zombie-shooting mayhem.

Who?s it for? Fans of zombies and shooters should try House of the Dead Overkill: LR, but it's not an appropriate selection for kids, as it?s gratuitously violent and gory.

What?s it like? Check out Dead Trigger and Into the Dead for some great first-person zombie action.
