Touchmate Launches 8 Inch 3D Android ICS Tablet

Tablet makers have resorted to almost everything to ensure their device gets consumer attention.? Although putting in place a 3D display is one aspect that is yet to catch on in a big way. The Touchmate tablet is one such tablet device that renders 3D display which does not require the use of special glasses. Running Android 4.0 ICS, the tablet from Touchmate comes with a multi touch enabled 8 inch capacitive 3D display having a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels. This also makes the Touchmate tablet the world?s first 3D tablet in the 8 inch category though the fact is, the Touchmate is only the second device in the world to offer 3D display with the first being the LG G-Slate that came with an 8.9 inch sized screen.

Rest of the spec sheet speak of a 1.0 GHz Cortex A9 dual core chip, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, front and back facing camera along with an HDMI port.

Price and other details are awaited. The tablet though costs around $462 in the UAE.
