TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- More than 1,600 degrees will be awarded Saturday, Aug. 3, at the University of Alabama's summer commencement exercises.?
The ceremony, set to begin at 9 a.m. in Coleman Coliseum, will recognize graduates from eight UA colleges.?
The university's commencement website states the student processional will begin at 8:40 a.m., and recommends attendees be seated at that time.?
Dr. Scott Hestevold, professor and chair of the philosophy department, will serve as commencement marshal, according to a UA press release.
For family and friends who can't make the ceremony, commencement will be broadcast live online.?
