In retaliation, hacker collective Anonymous knocked out the websites of the FBI, U.S. Department of Justice, and several entertainment industry sites, calling it?"the largest attack ever," with 5,635 participants involved in bringing down the sites.

Speaking of overstepping legalities, even Europe's Internet Czar is tweeting anti-SOPA sentiments, and the inventor of the World Wide Web says SOPA is a violation of human rights.

In less-interesting news, Apple announced iBooks 2, iBooks Author and new iTunes U.
